Hello HRB clients! Thank you for your patience while we have been preparing to re-open! The shop 'face-lift" is still ongoing, but it's also TIME TO TATTOO!!
We opened today, June 1st. Not all of the HRB artists were able to start today though. Some have obligations to stay home still. Your patience, as you wait for your artist to be able to return to work, will be very appreciated.
We are super excited to get back at it, but there will be a few changes in how we do things. Some of these changes will be permanent and some are temporary and due to Covid-19.
A permanent change will be our new "Kids Policy". Starting June 1, 2020 (but after phase 1, of course), we will have a 15 minute time limit for kids who need or want to visit the studio with their parent or guardian. We love children, and most of us are parents ourselves, but honestly we feel distracted from our work when children are in the studio. I apologize for any inconvenience.
And now some temporary changes;
Next is our new deposit policy. Your artist may ask for a deposit to set your tattoo appointment. During the Covid pandemic, we will move your deposit from one appointment to another, should you need to reschedule, IF you notify us within 24 hours of your original appointment date. HOWEVER, if you "No-Call" or "No-Show", you forfeit your deposit. If you show up to your appointment with Covid symptoms, you will be asked to leave and you will lose your deposit. There will be no exceptions.
When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, please remain in your car or outside and notify your artist that you have arrived.
The studio will be locked during business hours for the duration of Phase 1, to avoid having the public walk in. There will be a covered area on the garage-side of the building for people who may need to get out of the rain while waiting for your artist. Please expect to have your temperature taken with a no-touch thermometer when you arrive. If your temperature is elevated, you will be asked to leave and reschedule. Since you may not even know your temp is elevated, your deposit will be moved to your new appointment.
To be tattooed, and to enter the procedure area, you must wear a mask and your artist must wear a mask. Please bring your own mask. We will have masks available for purchase. No masks, no tattoos. No exceptions.
When you get to the studio, you will be required to wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, prior to being tattooed. No exceptions here either.
You are no longer allowed to bring anyone to your appointment with you. Absolutely no one but the client being tattooed will be allowed inside the studio. No exceptions.
Please also do not bring excessive belongings with you to your appointment. We will allow a drink with a lid and a personal item such a purse or a cellphone.
You will not be able to eat or drink in the studio but you may bring water with you. Snack breaks will need to be taken outside.
Please notify your artist to reschedule if you currently have Covid symptoms. DO NOT come to your appointment if you have any of the following symptoms:
Fever or chills
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches
New loss of taste or smell
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
We are unable, at this time, to accept walk-ins. However, you can make a same-day appointment by contacting your individual artist, or by calling the studio at 503 763 6844. ALL of our artists currently work at the West Salem location. Hot Rod Bettie's Tattoo 2, downtown has now been closed.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you in TattooLand in the very near future.
Everyone stay safe and healthy and I'll see you guys soon!
